The NCWLO will be hosting 2 play days to train junior officials and new adult officials for 2023 games. All youth teams, 14U to 10U are invited to participate, though space is limited. The cost per team is $150 and covers the team playing 3-4, 20 minute running time, mini games. This is a great opportunity for the officials, players, coaches and score table volunteers to practice before regular season games start. No score will be kept at the playday but teams are required to provide team rosters and a score keeper so that officials can practice documenting penalties and communicating with the score table.
Registration is first come first served. Should we reach capacity your team will be placed on a waitlist and will not be charged unless we contact you and offer you a spot.
Clubs may register multiple teams.
There is no limit on the number of players per team but coaches should be mindful that each team will only play 3-4 "20-min mini games".
All games for 14U and 12U will be full field 12v12 format. All 10U games will be 8v8 and small sided field format (USA Youth Rule Book).
All players and coaches must be valid and current USA Lacrosse members from Feb 1, 2023 to May 30, 2023.
Games are for officials training and may be stopped so that the trainers can provide instruction.
Coaches should direct questions during the games to the official's trainer and not the trainees.
Coaches are invited to attend the Virtual Rules Session prior to the play day to learn about the 2023 rules and ask questions in real time from a USA Lacrosse Certified Trainer.
There are two locations and dates:
Feb 26th - Folsom
March 5th - Oakland (14U is waitlisted as on 2/1, Folsom is open)
Team Rosters are due Feb 10, 2023
Team registration closes Feb 1, 2023- extended to 2/5
Game schedules will be released 7 days prior to the event. Teams should be available for the whole day but will only be schedule for a 3-4 hour block of time.
