Referee Check List

Wondering what you need to do as an official to be qualified to do games

Every year:

Register on NCWLO (Register)

    • Register with US Lacrosse, included with NCWLO registration above
    • Adults only, complete and pass background check which is part of US Lacrosse registration
  1. Complete 2022 US Lacrosse Girls' Rules Course (Link Select > Catalog > Official Education & Development > Officials Rules Courses for New Certifying Officials > Girls' Lacrosse Rules Online Course  ) (will show up in your USL e-learning transcript once complete) - New officials
  2. Complete Classroom Training
  3. Complete NFHS Rules Test with passing score (Link Select > Catalog  > Official Education & Development > USA Lacrosse Annual Rules Exams and Professional Development Courses for Officials > 2022 Girls' Lacrosse High School Rules Exam) - Adults only
  4. Complete US Lacrosse Youth Rules Test with passing score (Link Catalog > Official Education & Development > Officials Rules Courses for New Certifying Officials > Girls' Lacrosse Rules Online Course)  - Juniors and Adults
  5. Attend Field Training and obtain a rating
  6. Confirm registration on Arbiter for assignments and up date blocks for scheduling (Arbiter Sports)
  7. Complete NFHS Concussion in Sports Course (Link) and then 

 

One time:

  1. Complete US Lacrosse Girls Lacrosse Rules Online Course (Link)
  2. Order Uniforms / Gear (Link)
  3. Set up Arbiter Pay account, if needed
